Job Title: RN, Hospital
Location: La Crosse, WI

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Location: La Crosse, WI

On-Call as need Days/PMs/ Nights/Wknds The Respiratory Therapist performs all basic and advanced therapies per policy and procedure in all areas of the hospital including ventilator management and adequately monitoring patient for adverse reactions. Provides assessment of patients, consultation with other health care providers, development of the patient care plan, evaluation of the outcomes, and the education and training of the patient with regard to Respiratory Care. The therapist communicates, organizes, delegates and works cooperatively as a member of the health care team to continuously improve the quality of patient care services delivered in routine, emergent and critical care settings. The therapist serves as a professional resource for the department, the health care team, and the community. Respiratory Therapists are required to exercise independent judgment in many tasks.

Education/Learning Experience: - Required: Technical diploma in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent. - Desired: BS degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.

Work Experience: - Desired: 1-3 years experience in a related field.Skills/Knowledge: - Required: Ability to work with advanced technology and computer equipment. Ability to perform respiratory care skills in crisis situations. Ability to work effectively in a team environment by demonstrating solid communication skills, adaptability, and interpersonal sensitivity.

Licenses/Certifications - Required: CRT, Licensed by the state of Wisconsin. BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED). - Desired: RRT. Physical Requirements/Demands of the Position - Work requires the use of computer/keyboard equipment, telephone, calculator, and other clinical equipment that requires eye/hand coordination, depth perception, and functional visual ability. Required to move equipment to different locations by exerting up to 40 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, or pull objects. Exposure to temperature variances, communicable & infectious disease, latex, electrical hazards, and cleaning agents/chemicals. Work involves frequent contact with staff, patients, and the public and can be stressful due to the criticality of some situations.
