Bellin College nursing camp supplies real experience - stat

Mike Loberger wanted to be a nurse since he was a first-grader watching the NBC hit “ER.”
The Denmark High School senior got a taste Tuesday of what the job is like by applying partial casts.
“I didn’t know it was going to be as easy as it was,” he said.
High school seniors considering nursing careers took part in hands-on training at Bellin College that included shadowing nurses, transferring patients and applying and removing casts. It was part of a free three-day nursing camp that ends today. St. Vincent, St. Mary and Bellin hospitals sponsored the camp.
